This is the right time when we need to start bridging gap between industry needs, formal education system and skills training providers, to solve the problem of skill shortage. In India, we have many educated people but they are very less skilled people. The main concern is how do we create lot of skills and increase range of skills in unskilled people."

There is need to build bridges between industry, education, system and skill providers. There is also need to build soft skills as demanding by the new evolving global culture." "Industry, education, skills and society are the four islands which have to be connected, we need to plan demand and supply of skills. Private sector cooperation and public-private partnerships are essential; and finally Government should play the facilitator role." GradTrain.com, India's first portal on employability development for India's rapidly growing knowledge economy, is an intiative taken by IIT- ISB- XLRI-Stanford alumni to cause a drastice change in the pace that the nation has been growing at.
